Buddy Spy Setup Guide

If you are having problems installing or having problems with Buddy Spy, then please consult this setup guide. It contains an overview of what is needed to run Buddy Spy.


1. Install Buddy Spy

If you have not already done so, please visit the download page and install the Buddy Spy application. To install Buddy Spy you may need administrator access to the computer.


2. Create A New Yahoo! Account

Create a new Yahoo! account to use with Buddy Spy, so you don't interfere with your normal Yahoo! Messenger Activities. This is very important, if you are trying to use the same account for Buddy Spy as you do with your Yahoo! Messenger, it will cause errors.


3. Configure Buddy Spy

Buddy Spy is full of different settings to help tailor the application to best suite your needs. Please configure it to your computer so it will work properly. You can configure the different options on the various settings screens.


4. Start Scanning

Once you have created an account and configured Buddy Spy to work correctly on your computer you are now ready to start scanning. Please choose the appropriate scanning method to better your scan result accuracy.
